As part of CHIPS Month Canada, VCycene had the privilege of joining George Brown College’s De-risking Innovation Through College Research event, hosted at their impressive AMP Labs (Advanced Manufacturing & Prototyping). This gathering highlighted GBC’s role in supporting innovators, entrepreneurs, and small to medium-sized businesses through each stage of the product development journey, offering expertise and facilities that bring bold ideas to life.
Our software developer, Junaid, represented VCycene at the event with a special presentation on our successful partnership with GBC. He shared how GBC’s resources and technical guidance helped us enhance the development of the LILA Composter, contributing to our mission of advancing sustainable technology.
Behind the Scenes: Innovation in Action
During the session, we had the opportunity to tour the AMP Labs, a hub that’s become a cornerstone for innovation in hardware manufacturing and prototyping. Here, we were introduced to cutting-edge projects that tackle some of today’s most pressing environmental challenges. From advanced carbon capture technology to plastic PPE recycling solutions for hospitals, the labs were buzzing with sustainable innovations that left us inspired.
These projects reminded us of the incredible possibilities that lie in sustainable manufacturing—a core principle for VCycene. We’re proud to be part of a community that prioritizes not only technological advancement but also real-world impact, and we’re grateful to George Brown College for cultivating an environment where solutions to big challenges come to life.
